In the modern world, we regard our colleagues, associates, mentors, siblings, and even social media connections as friends. This article will help you identify and make friends.

Who is a friend?

A friend has four traits (Deserving Friend)

1. Well-wisher

2. Help you in times of need

3. Happy in Friendship with you

4. Avoid Harm to you

A friend doesn’t have the traits (Idol friend myth)

1. You as the top priority

2. Always sacrificing

3. Always present

4. You as the only friend

Why it is hard to find friends?

1. Competitive world

People can benefit by harming you, being a friend needs sacrifice.

2. We do too less

We don’t follow four traits of friendship but expect in return.

3. We do too much

We try to become idol friends to convert a person into our friend.

4. Undue credit

Even when someone tries to be our friend, we fail to appreciate their efforts.

Conclusion

Friendship, like every relationship, works on a fine balance of contribution from both parties. Be mindful of who is your friend and who is not.
